Accessibility and education software, engineered to standard.

Access Core Technologies is a software company building in two domains — digital accessibility compliance and institutional course content. We engineer our products to the same standards we help our customers meet.

Company

A software company built around access.

Access Core Technologies is a software developer based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We build production software for the institutions that serve the public — government, healthcare, and higher education — across two domains: digital accessibility compliance and institutional course content.

Our approach is engineering-first. We automate what can be automated, apply structured methodology where work requires judgment, and document outcomes so they hold up to scrutiny.

AccessMark

Federal digital accessibility compliance

AccessMark helps institutions reach and maintain WCAG 2.1 AA conformance — the standard incorporated by ADA Title II (28 CFR §35.200) and HHS Section 504 (45 CFR Part 84). It pairs automated scanning across digital assets with a structured methodology and expert validation of the criteria automated tools cannot assess on their own, producing a dated, defensible evidence record.

Literaria

Course content software for institutions

Institutions already own the content — manuals, syllabi, policies, course materials — but it lives in formats that are neither accessible nor structured, and remediating it after the fact never finishes. Literaria is our research and development effort on the alternative: producing course content that is structured, bilingual, and accessible at the point of authoring, with a dated evidence record attached from the start. In development for higher education, public agencies, and federally funded programs.

Standards

We hold our software to the standard it enforces.

This website is built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA — a level above the WCAG 2.1 AA that federal regulation currently requires.

Software-first

The product carries the work

Automation handles the volume. Expert validation covers what no scanner can assess on its own. Both are part of the product — standardized, repeatable, and the same for every institution.

Accessibility as specification

Accessibility is part of the spec, not an afterthought. Our products are engineered and tested to the standard from the start.

Privacy by design

Governance from line one

Software that handles institutional and learner data is built with data governance and privacy considered from the first line of code.
